What is PIR sensors? How we can use it as a motion detector?
Arduino motion sensor: We will use the PIR motion sensor in this project. All objects (with temperatures above absolute zero) emit radiation from the heat generated. These radiations cannot be detected by the human eye. Therefore electronic devices such as motion sensors are used to detect these radiations.
What is a PIR sensor?
Passive infra-red sensors or PIR sensors detect the movement or motion of an object that detects infrared radiation, such as the human body. Therefore, the use of sensors is very common.
The benefits of using PIR sensors are as follows:
1. Cheap
2. Adjustment module
3. Skilled
4. Small in size
5. Low power consumption
6. It can detect movement in darkness and light.
PIR sensor function
The work of PIR sensors is based solely on the detection of IR (infra-red) radiation, which is emitted or reflected by objects.
Infrared radiation is detected by the crystalline material in the center of the sensor.
Consider a person passing in front of a wall-like background. Temperature changes from room to body temperature and vice versa in the sensor space. The changes generated in the arrival infrared radiation are converted into output voltages by the sensor. It then finds the human body or object.
