Sushmita Sen is a Bollywood actress who was born on 19 November 1975. Besides acting she is also into modeling. In 1994, she had become the first Indian lady to win the crown of Miss Universe. Just at the age of 18, she got awarded the title Femina Miss India in 1994. She has performed as a film actor after succeeding in the Miss Universe contest.
Sen won a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the light comedy Biwi №1 (1999), and she was also nominated for her performances in the plays Sirf Tum (1999) and Filhaal (2000).

Early years
Shubeer Sen, a retired Wing Commander of the Indian Air Force, and Subhra Sen, a jewelry artist and proprietor of a Dubai-based company, raised Sen in a Bengali Baidya household in Hyderabad. She only has a single sibling.
She studied at New Delhi’s Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute as well as Secunderabad’s St. Ann’s High School but did not continue her education.
Career
After her time as Miss Universe, Sen moved on to be an actress. Her first film, Dastak, got released in 1996, and she starred as a stalked woman opposite Sharad Kapoor. Mukul Dev played the main role. She went on to star in the Tamil action movie Ratchagan in 1997.
